Reports to: Supervisor Imaging/Manufacturing

Status: Full Time

Based in: O'Fallon, MO

Job purpose: Sets up and operates HP Indigo and Trojan Imaging equipment and files to convert material into finished product in accordance with specifications, procedures, and practices. A candidate in this position will be expected to learn, cross train and operate various pieces of equipment. This individual must be able to communicate well with their co-workers and work in an environment where everyone is highly reliant on each other.

Key responsibilities:

  • Achieve optimum print quality through proper handling of consumables, materials and machine
  • Perform color calibration checks and make necessary adjustments to match customer specifications
  • Perform necessary in-process quality checks to ensure output is consistent from start to finish
  • Study work instructions and specifications to determine correct method of set up and process control for material conversion
  • Conduct troubleshooting and preventative/routine maintenance on HP Indigo equipment
  • Conduct troubleshooting and preventative/routine maintenance on Trojan equipment
  • Participate in product testing and general research and development
  • Alert management of equipment problems that affect cost, production schedules and/or quality
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of equipment
  • Input accurate material and labor usage into company ERP system

Preferred Requirements and Education:

  • 2+ years' experience in the operation and maintenance of HP Indigo Imaging and/or Trojan equipment
  • Participated in HP certified training
  • Proven troubleshooting and problem solving skills
  • Ability to follow procedures well (process driven)
  • Sensitivity to customer needs and stringent delivery requirements
  • Available to work overtime as needed
  • Ability to communicate and work effectively with co-workers
  • Ability to maintain good attendance
  • Experience of working within ISO or documented quality system
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook (email)
  • Associate's Degree (2 yr certificate) or greater

 

 

Minimum Requirements and Education:  

  • 2-3 years experience in the operation of HP Indigo Imaging equipment sheet or roll fed
  • High School Diploma
